“Ocimum Basilicum” is the Latin name given to this specific herb, it was first seen and discovered in India in which it was utilized as a medicinal ingredient for doctors to treat skin infections like acnes. On the other hand, the basils’ essence is also used in aromatherapies to treat depression, migraine, and mental fatigue due to its strong and relaxing aroma. It also contains properties that naturally repel insects, flies and mosquitos.

Rosemary

Grapefruit

Lemon is a citric fruit rich in vitamin C. Through the years, many different methods and approaches were introduced to manipulate such valuable ingredients, from medical treatments to aromatherapies. Apart from being packed with vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and B5, its high content of Eugenol makes it a strong anesthetic and analgesic option. On the other side, clove also acts as a natural repellent for flies and mosquitos if combined with alcohol.

Although its main usage is to repel mosquitos and sandflies, its also an effective option to treat bug bites and disinfect them at the same time because of its high content of citronerol, citral, eugenol, nerole, geraniol and limonene.
